Final proj.

My project: friends and family wearing my shoes, which are dear to my heart, but still being themselves. I wanted the picture to have a lot to say about them but hold an important piece of me.

I decided Anna would be the perfect fit for these shoes because this pair matches with SO much. Just like these shoes go with everything so does Anna.. she's always up for anything! I also found the cobble stone and bright sun/grass fitting because Anna is cheerful but has a rough side.

Lexi HAD to wear the brightest pair of tennis shoes I own. She nor I could not have it any other way because these shoes really display her personality. She is always happy and definitely crazy. The bright, fun and colorful shoes were made for her.
Zia is a difficult person to define so a location and shoe were hard to decide on but I knew it had to be modelesque. The bright shoes being in the foreground are the center of attention and that is something Zia always wants to achieve. Also, the location is kind of mysterious and I feel I'm one of the only people that truly know Zia.

Fashion and attitude sum Savanna up. I picked the most girly pair of shoes for her and she of course showed up matching perfect, necklace and belt included. Her attitude shows in this photo with her face and pose. I added contrast and darkened the steps to add to the edge she has about her.
I loved using my grandma for this project. She just turned 90 but is still so active and young at heart. I loved seeing her in nikes and the park up the street was the perfect location to capture her youth.

I always joke with Lindsey and call her classy so I convinced her to squeeze into my most sophisticated pair of sneaks. I feel like this captured her classy side and I like her shadow and the neutral colors of the setting.

I would describe Mikey as the athlete. A pair of shox fit both her relaxed style and her daily running. We shot the pictures outside of her house because that's where she likes to run the most.

Last but not least is my momma AKA Hel. For some reason I couldn't see my mom in anything but a pair of chucks and the location had to be the kitchen because that's where she spends 89% of her time. She always yells at me for sitting on the counter so to match her rebellious look of chucks with pantyhose I requested she broke her own rules.

Street Photography

These photos were taken while fans waited for the doors to open at Melon Arena for a Penguins game. I did not attend the game but I drove down to capture the atmosphere and fans anticipation. The first photo welcomes you to the arena and displays Penguins pride while the other photos show the crowd and the buildings architecture. The bottom picture was taken at the end of the student rush line which wrapped around the arena.

This photo was taken in my dining room using the backlight mode. I don't like how the flash and brightness made this image appear.
This photo was taken of my dog Blazer sitting on my front porch using the Museum setting.

Assignment 1

Photo from www.masters-of-photography.com; taken by Alvin Langdon Coburn. I like this picture because the color and the rough appearance adds to the scene.
