Street Photography

These photos were taken while fans waited for the doors to open at Melon Arena for a Penguins game. I did not attend the game but I drove down to capture the atmosphere and fans anticipation. The first photo welcomes you to the arena and displays Penguins pride while the other photos show the crowd and the buildings architecture. The bottom picture was taken at the end of the student rush line which wrapped around the arena.

  1. I like these pictures because it shows Pittsburgh's truest form. It is a city of diehard sports' fans. These pictures really show it too with the long lines that people are willing to wait in.

  2. I really liked how you captured the feeling of a Pens game. I liked the 3rd picture of the older couple becasue they just look so happy and content waiting for the game to start. Also, I liked how you shot the last picture becasue the lines (the line of people parallel to the sidewalk)in it show how many people there were. The lines also guide towards the stadium, which shows a nice sense of purpose.

  3. I like how all the photos made me feel like I actually experienced the whole moment. The pics were just a snapshot of the moment and just natural and in the moment. The first photo is centered around the arena sign and the position is perfect. The picture of the couple was really nice, and I liked how u didn't add too much of the background and just focused on the couple.
